Hi, I’m Edie

I am an instigator of magic and miracles!

I passionately teach and advocate for your healing potential by helping you connect to your innate wisdom.

Working together we can make positive changes in your perception, participation and experience of life.

I’ve been a healing arts teacher and practitioner for over 35 years.

I’ve worked with thousands of people helping them find greater peace in their body /mind and have true aha! moments of self discovery.

I’m the kind of massage therapist that doesn’t just work with your body… I work with clearing the obstacles in your mind, emotions, energy field and spiritual bodies as well as the physical.

I believe that all aspects of the Self are interconnected and health is a result of an integral coherency of all parts.

I can help you move your body comfortably, make choices and live into your life with a feeling of clear, authentic, purposeful action.

What to expect in a session with me

A session with me can include a combination of massage therapy, aromatherapy, energetic and chakra healing, life coaching, counseling, hypnotherapy, past life regression, yoga, and other self care movement therapies.

We’ll start each session with a conversation to find out which modalities best suit your needs that day.

I’ll enroll you in participating with your healing process during the session.

We‘ll conclude each session with a check in to discuss the effects of the session as well as any “homework“ that might be best for you.

I enjoy helping you find practical ways to integrate a more healthy lifestyle as part of your daily practice.

I offer sessions in person or via phone, Zoom or FaceTime.

Testimonials

If you're after real-real bodywork, you know, the kind that goes beyond physical into your heart, soul and all that is your life, go see Edie. She uses a host of bodywork and energy tools along with a well-honed intuition to lovingly guide you into all that you are. You'll come out relieved, complete, and just a little more enlightened.
-Bonnie Hauser

I very highly recommend Edie to anyone looking to address pain, stiffness, stress and much more. I went to Edie for a massage because of increasing joint pain and soft tissue stiffness, and it was by far the best massage I've ever received. But "massage" is an inappropriate and silly term to use for what Edie provides. Even the term "body work" doesn't quite capture it. Edie's skill is unmatched in tapping into all of the different modalities she's expert in, to create sessions that determine and match your body's needs with a customized mix of approaches. Beyond that, Edie's work eventually transforms into body-mind work and is more powerfully healing than any conventional therapy focused only on the mind. ("Body-mind" captures the actual experience better than "mind-body".) I wasn't necessarily a believer that the body holds the mind's pain, but I am now. Edie's work approaches and utilizes the whole body-mind/mind-body continuum and as a result she is truly a healer.
-Jill Mozier

Edie is an extraordinary body worker, energy healer, and guide for the soul. She skillfully facilitates a deepening into physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being with wisdom, clarity, vibrancy, heart, and even humor. Every session with Edie brings a greater sense of connection with myself and the experience of having been witnessed, supported, encouraged, and appreciated. I've dedicated decades to healing and awareness, both personally and professionally, and Edie has been one of my greatest allies and teachers along that path. If you are walking a journey of consciousness, connection, and feeling at home within yourself, you are in excellent hands with Edie. Onward!
-Amyla Strode

Edie has been working with me as a body healer and life coach for over two years now. I have worked with a number of therapists, life coaches, and counselors in my life and Edie's scope of talent and wisdom is unparalleled. No matter what issue I bring to the table, she is able to meet me where I'm at, channeling insight that is nothing short of otherworldly. I'm often left gasping in disbelief at what I have learned and as I relish in the revelations, she humbly reminds me that she is mirroring for me what I already know within myself. Edie is such a skillfully patient life coach. She is always attentive and exceptionally versatile as she modulates her tone and delivery to match the energy that is in our field of interaction. She makes me feel seen, heard, and like I belong. Through her guidance, I have cultivated trust in my intuition and I feel more receptive to the energy around me. Edie is also a gifted body worker who has helped shift my energy and opened up new possibilities for explorations within my heart, body, and mind. Lately a number of my topics have pertained to understanding how to effectively interact with different personalities, and Edie is able to draw from her decades of experience. She also has a working knowledge of the enneagram which I find incredibly helpful. Edie radiates benevolence and her mere presence is healing for me. I fully endorse her exceptional skills and gifts and am so very grateful that I can meet with her on a monthly basis to expand my understanding of myself and the world around me.

I have been going to Edie for almost 20 years for massage therapy. Before Covid I enjoyed her weekly yoga class as well, but when we had to shelter in place I missed that yoga class, and by the fall the discomfort in my back became more and more apparent. At a massage appointment, I asked Edie to design a personalized yoga routine, just for me, that would allow me to live without back discomfort, and sure enough, she did! Edie is a true healer, fully engaged with individuals’ needs and health. She also presents new perspectives of how we see the world around us, very refreshing and smart!
-Pearl Arnold

Over the years I have had episodic problems with my lower back. When we moved to Chapel Hill I looked around for a good massage therapist to help when things flared up. Several people told me, “you need to see Edie” and eleven years later I am truly glad they did. It became clear in our first session that Edie was doing healing work on multiple levels. She knows kinesiology and how get to the physical sources of your discomfort but, more importantly, she has an intuitive sense of the “mind-body connection" and how they interact. I recently spent several, difficult years taking care of my elderly mother. It was exhausting, emotional and important work that I wanted to do mindfully and the time I spent on Edie’s table helped tremendously. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

A Holistic Approach Healing Center (AHA! INC) is a sanctuary, a place of rest and peace apart from the bustle of our lives. I feel it when I enter and hear the tinkle of a door chime that presages a delightful aroma greeting me as I cross the threshold. With a quiet greeting, Edie is invariably happy to see me—a response that is more than solid professionalism. She really is happy to see everyone. She delights in the fact that I have come to take part in the arts she practices. She conveys a sense of joy and mindfulness in all she does. Every session calms the storms that I bring with me when I arrived. Over many years, I have found her treatments to help center my awareness on what is true and important. Her skill is without peer. I recommend her without reservation.

For 15 years, it's been Friday at 4 with Edie. I was usually wiped out from the week, or had some significant event to talk through. But no matter what I came to see Edie, I left restored, rejuvenated, relaxed, and feeling honored and respected. Edie is a healer on many levels. She has also become a friend. Relax, enjoy, and rejuvenate.
-Dr. Edward Marshall

I have been a client of Edie's for nearly two years and have been amazed by the changes in my body and mind since that time. Edie's considerable skills as a massage therapist, energy worker and intuitive have alleviated my chronic back pain and insomnia and have given me more energy, balance and joy than I've ever had. Edie is a gifted, compassionate healer who is committed to helping her clients overcome physical and emotional challenges.
-Mary Beth Hernandez

Working with Edie for the past 5 years has proven to be a wonderfully healing experience for me ... body, mind, and spirit. She is truly a gifted bodyworker who has a tremendous wealth of knowledge about human anatomy. At the end of each appointment, I leave her office standing taller, more erect, breathing deeply and smiling broadly. All the way home, my body is whispering, ‘Thank you, Thank you!’
-Linda Duda

I have been fortunate in my life to be able to experience worldwide a lot of approaches to massage, healing touch and related healing arts. While Edie Stuber’s range of skills and experience as a certified massage therapist become quickly apparent to anyone lucky enough to land on her table, even before surrendering my body to her hands the first time we met I was very aware of a far more profound touch from her energy—a receptive/listening, active/giving energy, like a giant radar screen that seemed to emanate not only through her gaze and smile but from the room and the windows and the sunlight playing through the trees outside, emerging through the crystals inside in ever shifting rainbows…an energy that felt universal in its roots, but warmly individual and personal in its touch.

And in her touch. Applied together, Edie’s massage and energy create waves of feeling and awareness through the body, lingering and continuing well after her hands have moved away. Even as pain is transformed and range of motion is restored, additional dimensions of bodily restoration and relief seem equally tangible… and not just bodily restoration and relief - very much mind and spirit as well.

In many cultures mystics and healers have been characterized by an ability to reach out to a wide population and yet make each individual feel deeply and directly addressed. Of the many skills Edie brings to each healing encounter, her ability to combine touch and energy tools with herself as a crossroads between forces of universal healing and individual client needs produces a very special effect, as I not only get to feel better, but I also get to watch as the angels hanging on the walls grow pale in the shadow of the radiance of the therapist herself.
