Sylvia has been practicing the art of massage for 16 years. She specializes in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT). She is certified in the St. John Method of NMT (1994) and has studied extensively in the Alexander Technique and Ideokinesiology with Glenna Batson.
Sylvia’s main goal is to help her clients attain freedom of movement without pain. The techniques she uses include NMT (sometimes called “trigger point therapy”), relaxing Swedish massage, specific exercise movements and visualizations. She enjoys teaching her clients about the muscles and other soft tissue and, with that knowledge, clients can then learn how to do self-massage.
A native of Texas, Sylvia lived for many years in Scotland, and has been a resident of Orange County since December 1983.
